Moradabad: Sugar mills to face action over pending cane dues

Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh – Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Aunjaneya Kumar Singh has urged sugar mills to ensure full payment to farmers for their cane. During a meeting with officials from the Sugarcane Department, he warned that mills failing to comply would face consequences, including the potential cutting of cane supply.

Singh highlighted that several mills in the region have not completed their payments to farmers, as reported by Live Hindustan.

He emphasized the importance of the timely commencement of the sugarcane crushing season and announced that strict actions would be taken against defaulting sugar mills. Singh reiterated that all mills must settle their payments to farmers before the start of the new crushing season.
