International sugar prices moved higher as concerns about smaller global sugar output. The USDA projected 2023-24 Thailand sugar production at 9.4 MMT, down -15% year-on-year.
Oil prices fell about 2% amid concerns of tightening supplies as OPEC+ decides to maintain oil output cuts. Global benchmark Brent crude futures and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures have declined about $10 a barrel in less than 10 days after edging close to $100 in late September.
Good news back home as both Sensex and Nifty ended Thursday in the positive territory, led by gains in tech and financial stocks.
