March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) Tuesday closed down -0.58 (-3.07%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) closed down -15.20 (-3.06%).
Sugar prices sold off Tuesday, with NY sugar posting a 4-1/2 month nearest-futures low and London sugar posting a 2-3/4 year low.
As per the reports, restrictions on sugar exports may be relaxed soon in India. Approval for the export of 10 lakh tonnes of sugar is likely.
