Birendranagar: Police have seized around 18 tonnes of sugar that was being brought evading customs tax, reports Nepali media.
According to police, the truck carrying sugar was travelling to Surkhet from Kailai.
The police during their checking found the sugar imported from India evading customs. Police found that the truck driver had an online bill, vat bill but the driver failed to produce customs bill.
The seized sugar has been handled by the Nepalganj customs office.
