Bara, Nepal: The residents have asked Reliance Sugar and Chemical Industries Pvt Ltd located in Kalaiya, Bara, to keep a check on the harmful discharge as it is impacting the health of the residents.
The residents from locations like Shreepur, Majhauliya and other places launched an agitation in front of the industry demanding the plant should limit the pollution and provide compensation to the residents.
“The industry authorities did not listen to our grievances despite our complaints and we are forced to launch agitation against the plant,” said one of the agitators.
“People in the vicinity of the industry are suffering from headache, respiratory problems and diarrhea,” agitators further added.
