Benchmark indices ended at fresh record highs on December 4.
Sensex ended 1,383.93 points up at 68,865.12, whereas Nifty concluded 418.90 points higher at 20,686.80.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 492.75 points up at 67,481.19, whereas Nifty concluded 134.75 points higher at 20,267.90.
Eicher Motors, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, BPCL and ICICI Bank were among the biggest gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HDFC Life, Britannia Industries, Wipro, Sun Pharma and Titan Company.
