Kolhapur: KDCC chairman and NCP MLA Hasan Mushrif asked the newly-elected MLAs to focus on the improvement of sugarcane sector.
He was speaking at a felicitation programme of newly elected MLAs organised by Kolhapur District Credit Cooperative bank in Kolhapur.
“The sugar sector is reeling under financial pressure due to high production and falling sugar prices in the market. Now it is the responsibility of the newly-elected MLAs to focus on developing the reeling sugar sector and ensure that cane farmers get a good return for their produce.
MP Sanjay Mandlik, MLAs Vinay Kore and Rajendra Patil Yadravkar were present on the occasion.
