No bidders for redevelopment of Sanjivani Sahakar Sakhar Karkhana

Porvorim: Plans of the Goa government to modernize the Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana by integrating ethanol production under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model are facing a hurdle due to the lack of interested parties in response to the recent Request for Qualification (RFQ), reports The Times of India.

To revive the Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, the government issued a revised RFQ inviting applications to shortlist qualified bidders.

‘Tender documents were opened on June 18, 2024 and found that no bidders have entered bid,” revealed agriculture minister Ravi Naik at the assembly

Responding to questions raised during the session, Naik clarified that the Sanjivani Sugarcane Producers Association did not recommend any specific contractor for ethanol manufacturing.”
