Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing criticism against opposition parties on Friday, highlighting improvements in sugarcane payments to farmers. He contrasted the current situation with past administrations, where farmers experienced prolonged delays of five to 10 years in receiving payments, whereas now they are paid within a week.
Speaking at the Vijay Shankhnad rally at Gateway International School grounds alongside RLD chief Jayant Choudhary, Yogi expressed his honor in visiting the revered land associated with former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, an eminent figure in Indian history.
Yogi emphasized the significance of the upcoming elections, particularly in light of Chaudhary Charan Singh being posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, in recognition of his advocacy for farmers’ rights.
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Modi for integrating Chaudhary Charan Singh’s values and principles into political discourse and for implementing welfare programs that benefit farmers, thus honoring the millions who provide food and fostering pride among the people of Uttar Pradesh.
