Khanewal, Pakistan: As per the directives of the Pakistan government, the district administration is taking efforts to provide sugar at a low rate to the consumers. The government has fixed the sugar price at Rs 70 per kg and has asked the concerned authorities to ensure that consumers get sugar at this rate.
Taking initiative in this direction, the district administration has set up stalls at Qulli bazaar Khanewal, Municipal Committees Jehanian, Mian Channu and Chowk Town Hall Kabirwala.
At these stalls, JK sugar mill is selling sugar at Rs 70 per kg. The consumers have been advised to come with the national identity card while purchasing the sugar and they will be provided with a receipt after buying sugar.
The district administration has appointed assistant commissioners to ensure that the shopkeepers are kept away from the stalls. The stalls are following the social distance rules and are also taking efforts to avoid the spread of Covid-19 virus.
