The price of sugar in Pakistan’s domestic market has been fixed at Rs 89.75 per kg.
According to the media reports, the Federal Sugar Appellate Committee took this decision on Friday after negotiating with the sugar mill owners. The Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) has been issued by the federal secretary of National Food Security in this regard.
The decision has been conveyed to all the sugar mills in the country. Earlier as many as 25 sugar mill owners had appealed against the SRO-1259 regarding the sugar price fixed by the government on September 21. Now the four page order of the Federal Sugar Appellate Committee of October 7 has been circulated among all the sugar mills.
