Islamabad: Industry ministry has stated that the imported sugar will soon be released in the domestic market that will help in reducing the prices of sugar in the market.
Hammad Azhar, Minister for Industries and Production told the National Price Monitoring Committee (NPMC), “The sugar prices have witnessed a decline in the market during last week and will further reduce once the imported sugar is made available in the domestic market.”
The meeting was chaired by Minister for Finance and Revenue Hafeez Shaikh. He asked the ministry of industries and production to take adequate steps to ensure that the prices of sugar in the domestic market are reduced and affordable to the consumers. He asked the authorities to ensure that the sugar is available at an affordable rate to the consumers.
