Islamabad, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the authorities to crack the whip on the sugar hoarders in the country and take stern action against them as per the law.
According to the media report, he directed the officials after taking the review of the present situation of the sugar sector in the country in a meeting organized for the same.
During the meeting, the PM was given detail briefing about available sugar stock in the country and the status of sugar import. He asked the chief secretaries of provincial governments to take note of the current stocks available with the sugar mills. Also, PM asked the authorities to announce the sugarcane crushing dates as early as possible.
