The sugar inquiry commission set up to investigate the sudden rise in the sugar prices in Pakistan will be submitting its report to the government soon. The forensic process report is at the final stage but the committee has demanded extension in time to submit its detailed report.
At the beginning of the year, the country faced a shortage of sugar leading to a surge in the prices and government was severely criticized over this. Prime Minister Imran Khan promised to punish the guilty involved for the situation and set up a committee to investigate the incidents and find reasons behind this.
