Mysore/Mysuru: Pandavapura Sahakara Sakkare Karkhane, popularly known as Pandavapura sugar mill will start sugarcane crushing within a month, said Murugesh Nirani, Chairman of Nirani Sugar Group who has taken the mill on a 40-year lease.
Interacting with the Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) at Patrakarthara Bhavan he said that he is determined to bring the past glory of the mill.
Nirani said, “It will take more than two years to replace the existing machinery of the mill, which is rusted, with the latest ones. I do not want to cause further delay in crushing spending time on replacement as this would cause a lot of hardship for the growers of the region. As such I have decided to start crushing in right earnest by best using the available machinery in the factory and to take up replacement of machinery in a phased manner.”
