Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Bhartiya Kisan Union submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister of the state to the Additional District Magistrate Arvind Kumar demanding payment of cane dues to the farmers. Cane growers warned of an agitation if mills fail to clear the cane dues.
The farmers under the leadership of national spokesperson of BKU Vikrant Chaudhary met ADM. They said until the entire payment is made to the farmers, the electricity connection of the farmers should not be cut.
