Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: DM Shakuntala Gautam has warned the sugar mills that strict action will be initiated against them if they fail to clear the pending cane dues. The DM has asked DCO Anil Kumar to submit cane arrears and tagging report.
On Sunday, the DM held a meeting with the BKU delegation, sugarcane and sugar mills officials at the camp office. District unit head of BKU, Pratap Gurjar raised the issue of pending cane dues and asked Malakpur mill to clear pending cane dues.
DM said that the farmers should get their dues in time and asked the sugarcane officers to initiate action against the sugar mills that have failed to clear pending dues. The DM also asked DCO to furnish reports of sugarcane arrears, sugar, and molasses payment reports.
