Bijnor: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sanghatan have decided not to send their cane to the Bilai sugar mill for the next crushing season, according to livehindustan.
A delegation of farmers from the Nangli cane collection center of Bilai sugar mill under the leadership of district unit head Vinod Kumar Bittu handed over the memorandum in this regard to the DCO.
The farmers have stated that they are selling cane to the sugar mill for several years but the mill is not clearing their cane dues in time. This has affected the financial condition of the farmers and they have not decided to not to sell their cane to the sugar mill. The farmers have demanded the DCO provide them with the cane collection center of other sugar mills so that they can send their cane to other mills.
