Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh government is taking steps to ensure sugar mills clear the cane dues at the earliest.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, Additional Chief Secretary (Excise and Sugarcane Development) Sanjay R Bhoosreddy has directed sugar mills in the state to clear the pending cane dues of the sugarcane farmers. He warned that strict action will be taken against the mills if they default the payment.
District cane officer Dr. Hari Krishna Gupta said that the sugar mills from the Ayodhya Mandal region have so far cleared about Rs 938.73 crore to the cane farmers. He said instruction is given to us to ensure mills clear the pending cane dues on time and if they fail to do so, then to take action against them.
