Bijnor: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union have threatened the Bajaj sugar mill Bhilai to not supply cane for the next season if it fails to clear pending payment for the ongoing crushing season, reports Amar Ujala.
Farmers under the leadership of BKU district unit head Nitin Sirohi met DCO Prabhu Narayan Singh and handed to him memorandum of their demands regarding payment of pending cane dues.
Farmers stated that since the last few years, the sugar mill is not clearing cane bills to the farmers on time and they have several times launched agitations for this demand.
