Haryana: The Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) will file a case against the Piccadilly sugar mill, Bhadson, at a special environment court, Kurukshetra for allegedly violating the environmental norms.
When a team of HSPCB visited the mill on Thursday, they found that the effluent treatment plant was not working.
“Based on the inspection, we have prepared the documents and will file a case against the mill,” said Nirmal Kashyap, regional officer, HSPCB.
The HSPCB had sealed the distillery of the mill on April 2 after the team found it violating the NGT norms. The team had also shut the mill but opened it after farmers protested against their action.
