Poppys Biotech, a company belonging to Tiruppur-based knitwear exporter Poppys Group will set up a 200 KLPD ethanol plant at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu, reports Projects Today.
The project will include the installation of a 5 MW co-generation power plant and will be spread over 16.79 acres of land.
The company is awaiting the environmental clearance for the project and is yet to finalize a contractor for the project.
The work on the project is likely to start by September 2023 and would be completed by December 2024.
