Phagwara, Punjab: In a shocking incident, unidentified robbers carried out a burglary at the Phagwara sugar mill, and took away valuable goods, including 40 quintals of brass and roughly 25 electric motors, with a total value around Rs 40 lakh. The burglary took place on Friday night, reported Punjab News Express.
The Phagwara sugar mill had been sealed by the administration on September 30. This decision was taken as a result of the mill management’s inability to settle outstanding dues owed to the farmers.
Narinder Singh Chaudhry, Chief Security Officer of the Mill, promptly informed the police about the incident.
