Gurdaspur, Punjab: A fire broke out late last night at a sugar mill in Paniar, Gurdaspur, causing damage to the mill. Upon receiving the news of the fire, 3 to 4 fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control with great difficulty, reported local media.
As per reports, a new project had been initiated for the expansion of the mill, and it is believed that the fire started suddenly, leading to chaos.
Police Chief Harpreet Singh also arrived at the scene to assess the situation. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
