Bhilwara, Rajasthan: An investment summit under the “Rising Rajasthan” initiative will be held in Bhilwara, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed for the establishment of an ethanol plant. The proposed plant, with an investment of approximately ₹150 crore, is planned to be located on the Shahpura road, although land acquisition is still in progress. The facility will utilize maize and broken rice as feedstock and is expected to create around 300 jobs.
The plant will enable local utilization of maize produced in Bhilwara district. The project is being spearheaded by Mukesh Laddha from Bhilwara, with plans to set up the facility along the Bhilwara-Shahpura road.
As per news report by Rajasthan Patrika, Murali Eenani, President of the Food Grain Trade Association, stated that maize produced in Bhilwara, Shahpura, Chittorgarh, and Nimbahera is being dispatched to Gujarat, Haryana, and Punjab . Most of the maize is used for animal feed and poultry farming, while some is purchased by liquor factories. If the ethanol plant is established in Bhilwara, it will help in localizing the use of maize.
