Rajasthan: Police seize 53,000 litres of illegal biodiesel, 3 held

Balotara police have seized 53,000 litres of illegal biodiesel from two tankers in a remote village near the Patau border of Kalyanpur and arrested three individuals involved in the operation. The seized biodiesel was being sold at low prices on the Bharatmala Expressway using pick-up vehicles.

The operation was carried out under the direction of SP Hari Shankar. Acting on information provided by the DCRB, the DSP of Pachpadra led a raid at the location, where the police recovered two tankers filled with biodiesel, two pick-up vehicles fitted with tanks, as well as a petrol pump nozzle and a motor used for extracting oil from the tankers. A case has been filed by the District Logistics Officer of Balotara for selling adulterated and illegal diesel-like fuel.
