Phaltan: During his recent visit to Mumbai, President of India Ram Nath Kovind discussed the status of the sugar industry in Maharashtra, particularly in the Satara district, with MP Ranjit Naik-Nimbalkar and his wife Adv. Jijamala Nimbalkar, Satara Zilla Parishad member.
Nimbalkar’s two daughters namely Tararaje and Indiraraje also accompanied them during the meeting.
Nimbalkar represents the Madha Lok Sabha constituency. Nimbalkar’s daughters had sent a mail to the President requesting him to meet them in person. Accordingly, the President asked them to meet him during his visit to Mumbai.
During the meeting held at Rajbhavan in Mumbai, the President discussed about the situation of the sugar industry in Maharashtra and the sector’s future prospects. He also discussed the current situation of the Madha Constituency. The President also had conversation on social, education and sports issues with Tararaje and Indiraraje.
