Shamli: Wajid Ali, the district president of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), along with MLA Persann Chaudhary, submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, urging action against sugar millers who have failed to pay farmers. They stated that the government’s policy requires action against sugar mills that do not make payments to farmers, reported Live Hindustan.
They also urged the administration to deal with the farmers sensitively and conduct fruitful talks with private mill management so the pending dues could be cleared on the spot immediately.
Regional president Yogendra Singh, state general secretary Vijay Kaushik, youth district president Vikrant Nirval, Veer Singh Malik, and Devanand Gaur were present on the occasion.
