Shamli: A delegation of sugarcane farmers led by RLD MLAs Prasanna Chaudhari and Ashraf Ali Khan met DM Ravindra Singh over the issue of pending cane dues, reports Live Hindustan.
They informed the DM that the Shamli, Thanabhavan and Unn sugar mills owe cane dues worth crore rupees of farmers and urged him to take steps to ensure that these mills clear the dues at the earliest. During the meeting, they called the sugarcane commissioner and shared with him the status of the cane payment done by the mills in the district. DM has assured them to ask mills to clear pending cane dues on a priority basis.
