Royal Enfield, a prominent two-wheeler manufacturer in India, is actively participating in the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. At the expo, the company unveiled its inaugural flex-fuel powered motorcycle, named the ‘Classic Flex,’ based on the renowned Royal Enfield Classic 350 model, according to english.jagran.
The innovative flex-fuel-powered Royal Enfield Classic 350 is engineered to operate on a blend of petrol and ethanol. The modifications enable the motorcycle to accommodate ethanol-blended fuel, with a capacity of up to 85 percent. Notably, a majority of petrol pumps in India currently feature a 10 percent ethanol blend in their petrol. The government aims to increase this ethanol blend to 25 percent by 2025.
Regarding the engine specifications, the flex-fuel powered Classic 350 retains the existing 350cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This reliable engine is capable of delivering a power output of 20 bhp and 27 Nm of torque.
While there is no official confirmation regarding the launch date of the flex-fuel-powered Royal Enfield Classic 350 in India, industry observers anticipate that the eco-friendly motorcycle could be introduced sometime in 2025. Royal Enfield’s foray into flex-fuel technology aligns with the industry’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
