Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) The Rupee remained firm for the third straight session as it surged by 31 paise to 70.02 on brisk selling of US Dollars by exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.
The local unit that rose by 8 paise to 70.25 in opening session, gained further and ended strong at 70.02, advancing by 31 paise as compared to its previous close.
High oscillation was witnessed during the day as it registered day high and low at 70.32 and 66.98 respectively.
Weak dollar against other world currencies and rebounding stock market kept the Indian currency up, they added.
