Saharanpur: The district administration has asked the sugar millers from the region to clear the cane dues of the sugarcane farmers on a priority basis. The administration has asked the officials from Gangnauli, Budhana, Titawi and Thanabhavan sugar mills to clear the pending cane arrears.
During the last few days, a delegation of farmers had launched sit-in agitation demanding clearance of cane dues from the sugar millers. They had submitted the memorandum of their demands to the district administration and it had assured them to look into the matter.
