Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: District has witnessed a hike in sugarcane area by 6000 hectares, therefore sugar production likely to increase this season. According to the news report published in Amarujala.com, the sugarcane output is likely to increase by 30 lakh quintal. In such a situation, there will be pressure on sugar mills to crush sugarcane on time.
The sugarcane department has asked sugar mills to ensure crushing operations on time to ensure procurement of all sugarcane grown in the district. Last year the mills had started operations from November 2 to 14.
