Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Sugar mills of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh have started to clear outstanding cane price payment of the last crushing season at a fast pace.
District cane officer, Krishna Mohan Mani Tripathi, said that the Deoband sugar mill cleared cane arrears of around Rs 26.45 crore to the cane farmers.
Dinanath Mishra, deputy president of the mill, said, “The mill has cleared all the pending cane arrears to the farmers and now they don’t owe any dues of last crushing season. We have also begun the process of purchasing cane for this season and payment distribution will start soon.”
