Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Additional sugarcane commissioner has warned the sugar mills over delay in cane payment and asked them to clear it on a priority basis.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, he along with the DCO visited villages and met the sugarcane farmers to discuss the problems they are facing. During the meeting, the farmers informed them about the pending cane dues. Following this, he asked the concerned officials to take follow up on the issue and direct the sugar mills to clear the pending cane dues.
He later visited the sugar mills in the region and took review of the preparations done by them ahead of the upcoming crushing season.
