Sangrur: Ganna Sangharsh Committee meets with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jatinder Jorawal and Cane Commissioner to demand the payment of pending sugarcane dues. Harjeet Bugara and Avatar Tari, conveners of the committee, informed about the meeting and stated that they have been assured by the DC that the outstanding amount will be released soon, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
Within a week, the dues of farmers in the Dhuri region will be released. Subsequently, payments will be made to the remaining farmers. The sugar mill will not be shut down under any circumstances. The farmers have suspended their protest, trusting the administration’s assurances.
