A notable recipient of the Best Technology in Flex Fuel was Shiraguppi Sugar Works Ltd.,Kagwad (Karnataka). Company, part of the DB Group, operates a sugar complex in Kagwad Village, Belagavi. With a 10,000 TCD Sugar Plant, 37 MW Cogeneration plant, and 120 KLPD Distillery, the company focuses on promoting regional agriculture, processing sugarcane, and uplifting the local community through employment. The DB Group extends its commitment to rural development, encompassing education, health, and skill development. Belgaum, known as the “Sugar City,” thrives on sugarcane cultivation. The company strategically utilizes by-products like molasses, emphasizing profitability. Located near Kagwad town, the plant has convenient access to railway stations, highways, and airports, contributing to its operational efficiency and connectivity.
Bollywood actress- Bhagyashree Patwardhan, presented an award to Shiraguppi Sugar Works Ltd for being Best Technology in Flex Fuel.
