Sensex crashes 1,688 points, Nifty below 17,050

Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended deep down in red as investors gauged the impact of the new covid variant. Sensex closed on November 26 at 1,687.94 points lower at 57,107.15. Nifty ended 509.80 points higher at 17,026.45.

In the previous season, Sensex closed on November 25 at 454.10 points higher at 58,795.09. Nifty ended 121.20 points higher at 17,536.25.

JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank and Adani Ports were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Cipla, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Divis Labs, Nestle and TCS.
