Equity benchmark Sensex tumbled in early trade on Tuesday.
At 10:32 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 334.94 points lower at 52,219.78 in initial deals, while the broader NSE Nifty fell 103.55 points to 15,648.85.
HCL Tech was the top loser in the Sensex pack followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, M&M, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.
On the other hand, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, PowerGrid and Nestle India were among the gainers.
