Mumbai: Amid heavy foreign fund outflow and weak domestic as well as global cues, BSE Sensex today dropped below 38,000 mark in early trade on 23rd July 2019.
BSE Sensex was trading 103.50 points lower at 37,927.63 at 09:30 am. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty fell 28.50 points to 11,317.70.
Kotak Bank, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, PowerGrid, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Finance and NTPC were among the top gainers up to 1.75 per cent.
Top losers in the Sensex pack included Yes Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, SBI, L&T, IndusInd Bank, M&M, ICICI Bank and RIL falling up to 2.47 per cent.
On the currency front, the Indian rupee depreciated 10 paise to 69.03 against the US dollar.
The global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading higher at 63.33 per barrel.
