Benchmark indices ended higher in the volatile session on December 11 with Nifty around 21,000.
Sensex ended 102.93 points up at 69,928.53, whereas Nifty concluded 27.70 points higher at 20,997.10.
Indian rupee flat at 83.39 per dollar on Monday against Friday’s close of 83.39.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 303.91 points up at 69,825.60, whereas Nifty concluded 68.25 points higher at 20,969.40.
Top gainer on the Nifty were UPL, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Auto, Adani Enterprises and LTIMindtree, while losers were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Axis Bank, BPCL and M&M.
