Benchmark indices ended higher today. On October 21, Sensex closed 104.25 points higher at 59,307.15, whereas Nifty ended 12.35 points up at 17,576.30.
In the previous season, October 20, Sensex closed 95.71 points higher at 59,202.90, whereas Nifty ended 51.70 points up at 17,563.95.
Bank index gained nearly 2 percent, while capital goods, pharma, power, metal index down 0.5-1 percent.
