Indian equity indices ended higher on March 24.
Sensex ended 1,078.88 points higher at 77,984.38, whereas Nifty concluded 307.95 points up at 23,658.35.
Biggest Nifty gainers included Kotak Mahindra Bank, NTPC, SBI, Power Grid Corp, Tech Mahindra, while losers were M&M, Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, Trent, Bharti Airtel.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 557.45 points higher at 76,905.51, whereas Nifty concluded 159.75 points up at 23,350.40.
Indian rupee ended 34 paise higher at 85.63 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 85.97.
