The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 18, Sensex closed 109.94 points lower at 54,208.53. Nifty ended 19.00 points lower at 16,240.30.
In the previous season, on May 17, Sensex closed 1,344.63 points higher at 54,318.47. Nifty ended 417.00 points higher at 16,259.30.
Tata Consumer Products, Shree Cements, UltraTech Cement, Cipla and HUL were among the top Nifty gainers. However, losers were Power Grid Corporation, BPCL, Apollo Hospitals, Tata Motors and Tech Mahindra.
