Mumbai: The benchmark indices ended lower in the volatile session on October 16.
Sensex ended 115.81 points lower at 66,166.93, whereas Nifty concluded 19.30 points down at 19,731.75.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 125.65 points lower at 66,282.74, whereas Nifty concluded 42.95 points down at 19,751.05.
Divis Laboratories, Nestle India, TCS, IndusInd Bank and Asian Paints are among top Nifty losers, while gainers included Hero MotoCorp, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Coal India and LTIMindtree.
