Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher. Sensex closed on 30 December at 133.14 points higher at 47,746.22. Nifty ended 49.35 points high at 13,981.95.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 29 December at 259.33 points higher at 47,613.08. Nifty ended 59.40 points high at 13,932.60.
UltraTech Cement, Shree Cements, Grasim, Bajaj Finance and UPL were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers included IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel and TCS.
