The equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty ended higher on June 20.
Sensex ended 141.34 points up at 77,478.93, whereas Nifty concluded 51.00 points up at 23,567.00.
Top Nifty gainers included Grasim Industries, Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Adani Ports and BPCL, while losers were Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharma, M&M, NTPC and Wipro.
Indian rupee ended at record closing low at 83.64 per dollar on Thursday versus Wednesday’s close of 83.45.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 36.45 points up at 77,337.59, whereas Nifty concluded 41.90 points lower at 23,516.
