The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 19, Sensex closed 1,416.30 points lower at 52,792.23. Nifty ended 411.25 points down at 15,809.40.
In the previous season, on May 18, Sensex closed 109.94 points lower at 54,208.53. Nifty ended 19.00 points lower at 16,240.30.
Wipro, HCL Technologies, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Infosys were among the top Nifty losers, while gainers included ITC, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Power Grid Corporation.
