The equity benchmark indices ended higher on Thursday.
Sensex ended 147.89 points higher at 81,053.19, whereas Nifty concluded 41.30 points up at 24,811.50.
Grasim Industries, Tata Consumer Products, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Apollo Hospitals were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Tata Motors, Dr Reddy’s Labs, NTPC, Wipro and M&M.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 102.44 points higher at 80,905.30, whereas Nifty concluded 71.35 points up at 24,770.20.
