Benchmark indices ended higher today. On October 6, Sensex closed 156.63 points higher at 58,222.10, whereas Nifty ended 57.50 points high at 17,331.80.
In the previous season, on October 4, Sensex closed 1,276.66 points higher at 58,065.47, whereas Nifty ended 386.95 points high at 17,274.30.
JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Coal India, Tata Steel and Larsen and Toubro were among the top Nifty gainers. Bharti Airtel, HUL, HDFC, IndusInd Bank and Britannia Industries were the top losers.
